Kirsty has over 20 years experience of working in the field of ageing. She began in 1994 running an advocacy and advice service for older people before becoming the manager of Well & Wise healthy living centre for older people in Camden. She went on to advise Age UK on social care policy and service development models. She has been a freelance consultant and trainer since 2007 working with third sector organisations on redesigning services for older people and making them more sustainable. This has included; supporting the age friendly cities network, working with Age UK to deliver business masterclasses to local Age UKs, new models of dementia services in rural areas, potential for outsourcing public services to the third sector and working on business models for home support and hospital discharge services. She in an Unltd award winner and founded AWOC in 2014 to raise awareness of the 20% of people over 50 ageing without children. She is married and childless.
