A comment from an attendee last year

I attended my first NOMO conference in 2016. It was daunting but I was so glad that I attended. The conference gave me the opportunity to speak to women on their own journeys, women who were at different stages of their grief. I took part in the art exhibition and was able to share my experience of my grief through my book ‘Dreaming of a life Unlived’ which was such a freeing experience. The opportunity to share our stories as well as some laughs throughout our time together, filled me with so much joy, courage and inspiration to continue on my own journey. I cannot thank Kerry and the NOMO community enough for being a much needed source of support.

Thank you for your kind words Yvonne. I am still so proud of all the attendees at the Conference. I think physically seeing and talking face to face with others in our situation gave real validation to our experience and our varying needs to work through our grief. Thank you so much for contributing to the art exhibition. All the contributions were moving, and fascinating in their variety. I still have a photo of your piece on my phone and I have shared your book with a number of people who have found it both moving and helpful.

    Regards,
    Kerry
